Director’s Compassion: The Story of Good Heart Uganda
As I reflect on the journey that has brought me to where I am today, I am reminded of the power of resilience and the importance of compassion. My name is Mukisa Rogers also known as Mukiss Rookiss, and I am the director of Good Heart Uganda, a charity organization dedicated to supporting vulnerable children and elderly persons.
The Spark of Inspiration
My journey with Good Heart Uganda began with a personal experience that left an indelible mark on my life. Growing up, I faced numerous challenges alongside my grandmother “may her soul rest in peace”, who played a pivotal role in shaping my worldview. Our struggles were multifaceted, but they also taught me the value of perseverance and the impact of kindness.
The Birth of Good Heart Uganda
In 2016, I decided to turn my experiences into a driving force for change. I envisioned an organization that would provide support and care to those who needed it most – the vulnerable children and elderly persons in our communities. After years of dedication and hard work, Good Heart Uganda was formally registered in 2024, marking a significant milestone in our journey.
Impacting Lives
Since its inception, Good Heart Uganda has been committed to making a tangible difference in the lives of disadvantaged children and elderly persons. Our efforts have been focused on providing essential support, care, and opportunities for growth. We have seen firsthand the positive impact that our work can have, and it has only strengthened our resolve to continue this important work.
