MAWAGALA PRIMARY SCHOOL OUTREACH: “PAD A GIRL, POWER HER FUTURE”
Under the powerful theme “Pad a Girl, Power Her Future,” Good Heart Uganda successfully carried out its termly school outreach at Mawagala Primary School.
The outreach focused on empowering the vulnerable girl child by addressing one of the biggest barriers to her education – menstrual hygiene. We believe that when you pad a girl, you don’t just give her a pad, you give her confidence, dignity, and the power to stay in school and shape her future.
We reached vulnerable girls with sanitary pads and other essential dignity kits and scholastic materials, coupled with mentorship on menstrual hygiene, self-esteem, and academic focus.

Voices From the School
The Senior Woman Teacher, Madam Susan, on behalf of the girls, thanked Good Heart Uganda and Rfm radio: “Thank you Good Heart Uganda and Rfm for thinking about our vulnerable children. You have restored dignity and hope to our girls.”
The Head Teacher also extended sincere thanks to all who contributed and appealed for continued support for girl child education.
This outreach is a termly activity conducted in different schools to support vulnerable girls. Our next outreach will be in February next year and we look forward to reaching even more girls.
