A CBO in Iganga Hosts Back to School counselling Conference

Iganga, Uganda – Good Heart Uganda, a local charity organization, will host a Back to School Conference on May 24th, 2025, to prepare school going children for the new academic term.

The conference, scheduled to take place in Iganga, will feature guest speakers Mr. Abubakari Waiswa, Iganga District Labour Officer, and Ms. Nanyanzi Sophie from World Vision. Sophie is an experienced counselor will provide guidance and support to the children, focusing on goal-setting, time management, and overcoming challenges.

Waisswa is a renowned child rights defender who is passionate to have the children in Iganga excels in education.  

During the event, Good Heart Uganda will distribute essential school requirements to the attending children, further supporting their educational pursuits.

Mukisa Rogers, Executive Director of Good Heart Uganda, expressed enthusiasm about the conference, highlighting the organization’s commitment to empowering vulnerable children.

The Back to School Conference promises to be a pivotal event, equipping children with the motivation and resources needed to succeed in the new academic term.
