Good Heart Uganda Menstrual Health Outreach at Buwolomera Primary School
On 12th June 2026, GHU conducted a menstrual health and scholastic support outreach at Buwolomera Primary School.

The initiative targeted adolescent girls and focused on reducing school absenteeism linked to menstruation. We distributed sanitary pads, undergarments, and scholastic materials. Trained volunteers also conducted hygiene education sessions on the safe use and care of sanitary products.
Madam Florence, Head teacher, expressed appreciation to GHU and the organizing team for addressing a critical barrier to girls’ education. The school’s senior woman teacher commended the hygiene training component.
The GHU Director Mr. Mukisa aka Mukiss, urged continued stakeholder support for vulnerable learners, emphasizing that dignity and access to basic supplies are essential to keeping girls in school especially those from vulnerable families.

GHU remains committed to promoting menstrual health, education, and equity for girls across the region.
